Our story began in 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic. Caitlin had fled Brooklyn for the safety of her parents house in Connecticut (for two weeks, that turned into five months), while Emily toughed it out on the mean streets of New York. In July, boredom led to joining a dating app, and after mutually swiping right, an unexpected love story began. After a month of chatting, then texting, to phone calls and Zoom dates, we met in person for the first time on August 15th, 2020 at Fort Greene Park (at a safe distance, of course). Our second date was at The Turk’s Inn, where we bonded over frozen cocktails on a hot summer day. And now, five years later, we are returning with all our closest friends and family to say I do!
